Laboratory Services

The UK North Fork Valley Community Health Center Laboratory is CLIA certified and operates in strict compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) ’88 federal regulations. The laboratory participates in an extensive quality assurance proficiency testing survey program provided by the American Academy of Family Physicians Physician’s Proficiency Testing Program (AAFP-PT). Our testing personnel are certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

The Laboratory performs testing in Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Coagulation and Microbiology.

On-site testing available: Complete Blood Count, Urinalysis, Microalbumin/Creatinine Ratio, Wet Mount, KOH Preparation, Occult Blood, Hemoglobin A1C, Strep A Antigen Test, Mono Test, Finger stick Glucose, Urine Pregnancy Test, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, and Prothrombin Time (INR).

A Reference Laboratory is used for all other testing. Routine Reference Laboratory test results are available the next day.
