The University of Kentucky, founded in 1865, as a land grant university is Kentucky's flagship university. Over 28,000 undergraduate and graduate students now attend UK, a record that continues to be broken year after year. This is an exciting time for the University, as it pursues its goal of becoming a Top 20 public research university by the year 2020. UK is known around the country for its world-class athletics programs including men's basketball and cheerleading, just to name a few. The UK College of Pharmacy is also consistently ranked in the top 10 national rankings year after year. This high quality program develops and graduates some of the brightest PharmD's and PhD's in the country. This is evident by the number of graduates that go on to pursue advanced clinical training, faculty positions, or positions at the dean level across the country.
