PGY2 Hematology/Oncology Residency

The hematology/oncology residency is a one-year ASHP-accredited specialty residency that includes training in general hematology/oncology, bone marrow transplantation, pediatric hematology/oncology, gynecology/oncology, and ambulatory care. The primary emphasis of the hematology/oncology residency is placed upon the development of clinical practice skills while delivering patient-focused care. Research opportunities are numerous and include clinical trials, outcomes and pharmacokinetic analysis, as well as basic science with tissue and cytokines. The resident participates in research and is expected to present the results at a national meeting. The resident precepts Doctor of Pharmacy students and presents didactic lectures at the College of Pharmacy, as well as providing inservices for the house staff and nursing staff.
