Paul Parker Award
The Paul F. Parker Award is given annually to a past resident of the University of Kentucky Pharmacy Residency Program or to an individual intimately associated with the success of the program. This award recognizes an individual who has displayed sustained contribution to the profession in practice, teaching or research; a commitment to high ideals and excellence in their chosen field; leadership and innovation; and a passion to encourage the personal and professional growth of others. The Paul Parker Award recipient for 2011 is Dr. Lisa Lawson (R88), current Dean of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. She is also currently a Professor of Medicine and Pharmacy and Barbara H. Korberly Professor in Women's Leadership and Health.
Preceptor of the Year Award
Award Description: "This award is given to the preceptor who has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty for the residents. This is a person that has demonstrated continued interaction and involvement with the residency and freely serves as an educator, mentor, and advisor to all residents."

Extra Mile Award
Award Description: "This award is given to the resident who consistently goes the extra step to help everyone out whenever possible while maintaining a positive attitude. This person can be relied upon for those last-minute emergencies, to do a commendable job, and to never expect anything in return. The recipient frequently volunteers his/her time to maintain and advance the residency program. The hallmark of the award is a selfless attitude and a devotion to his/her peers."
