Melanie Mabins - Pharm. D.
Dr. Melanie Mabins is an instructor at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. She teaches pharmacy practice in the Patient Care Laboratory with a focus on patient-centered care in ambulatory and community settings. She also teaches in the Contemporary Aspects of Pharmacy Practice course. She serves on the Honor committee for the College.
As a clinical pharmacist, Dr. Mabins serves in the College of Pharmacy's PharmacistCARE program. In this innovative pharmacy service, she provides diabetes education and management and medication therapy management services to Medicaid and Medicare patients. Her practice interests include pharmaceutical care in indigent, ambulatory clinics and diabetes.
