Carrie Johnson - Pharm.D., CDE

Dr. Carrie Johnson is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science. She currently is serving as a clinical pharmacist in the PharmacistCARESM program, which received the 2005 APhA Pinnacle Award. As part of PharmacistCARESM, Dr. Johnson coordinates a diabetes education and management program for UK employees, retirees, and dependents and has recently helped launch a cardiovascular program. She earned her B.S. and Pharm.D. degrees from the UK College of Pharmacy and is a certified diabetes educator. She completed a specialty residency in Primary Care at the William S. Middleton Veteran's Administration Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin in 1998. She was an adjunct faculty member at the College of Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University and at University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy for several years.
