The center directors and associated faculty are committed to the performance of rigorous research that helps to establish a strong scientific base to promote successful patient self-management. Our focus is improving patient self-management among those with chronic cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions so that patient outcomes are improved.
We believe that successful patient self-management is the foundation to successful treatment of chronic conditions and that drug, device and surgical therapies can only be fully successful when patient self-management is optimized. To assist the faculty funded by the Center and to assist others interested in the study of self-management, we have a number of cores that offer varied services. Each of these is described on this website and we hope that you will avail yourself of the exceptional personnel and resources that can help you investigate self-management in your population of interest.
