Assistant Professor
The Graduate Center for Nutritional Sciences (GCNS) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in the broad area of nutrition and chronic disease. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program and contribute to educational operations of the GCNS in medical and graduate programs.
The Graduate Center for Nutritional Sciences is a rapidly expanding multi-disciplinary Department within the College of Medicine localized in new state of the art research facilities. Opportunities exist to collaborate through the multidisciplinary Center with basic and clinical scientists from several departments and Colleges. Research interests of the Center include obesity, lipid metabolism and cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and oxidative stress as a mediator of several diseases. The Center’s nationally funded training grants are available to recruit graduate students. Minimum requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences or a closely related field. Post-doctoral Fellow
Graduate Center for Nutritional Sciences
A post doctoral position is available immediately to study molecular and cellular mechanisms
of diabetic vascular complications. candidates with prior experience in cell and molecular biology, and in working with small laboratory animals (such as rats and mice) are encouraged to apply. Experience in tissue
