Sigma Theta Tau International award
goes to psych/mental health and other faculty members
Professor Ann
Peden, D.S.N, A.R.N.P.-C.S., and colleagues were awarded a
Best of Journal of Nursing Scholarship Award in the
Clinical Scholarship category for their paper titled, "Testing
an Intervention to Reduce Negative Thinking, Depressive
Symptoms, and Chronic Stressors in Low-Income Single Mothers."
Co-authors were Associate Professor
Mary Kay Rayens, Ph.D., and
Lynne Hall, Dr.P.H., R.N., of
the UK College of Nursing, and Elizabeth Grant, M.S.N., R.N.
The Tribute Awards were presented during Sigma Theta Tau
International's 39th Biennial Convention in Baltimore in
November 2007.Sigma Theta Tau
International, the honor society for nursing,
supports the learning,
knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to
making a difference in health worldwide. It is a global
community of nurses who lead using knowledge, scholarship,
service and learning.
