Psychiatric Nursing students participate
in walkCollege of Nursing students enrolled in NUR
881, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, participated in the
National Alliance for the Mentally Ill's NAMI Walk - for the
Mind. The annual walk is held coast-to-coast. Kentucky's event,
led by Governor Ernie Fletcher, was held Sat., Oct. 7, at the
Kentucky Horse Park. Our nursing students, who raised $1000,
joined more than 2000 individuals from across the state who
participated. The NAMI walk calls attention to the needs of the
mentally ill and their families.
