Undergraduate Program Committee

Functions

1. Evaluates course offerings relative to program objectives
    
2. Develops and recommends curricular changes to the faculty
    
3. Implements the evaluation responsibilities listed in the College of Nursing Evaluation Plan that pertain to the Undergraduate Program Committee
    
4. Makes recommendations to faculty based on program evaluation
    
5. Evaluates the usefulness of the College of Nursing Evaluation Plan in relation to the Undergraduate Program Committee and recommends revisions in the plan as needed
    
6. Recommends entrance requirements to the faculty
    
7. Reviews suggestions for curricular changes proposed by any faculty member or student
    
8. Makes recommendations for vote to the undergraduate faculty and reports to the total faculty

Membership

1. Eight elected faculty members, with each being from a different undergraduate clinical course
    
2. One undergraduate student selected by the Undergraduate Nursing Activities and Advisory Council
    
3. Assistant dean for undergraduate studies, ex officio

Terms of Office

1. The terms of office shall be staggered two-year terms, two persons one year and two the next
    
2. The student member will serve for a one-year term of office
