Promotion, Appointment, and Tenure Advisory Committee
Functions
- Advises the Dean
regarding criteria for appointment, promotion and tenure.
(These criteria are in addition to those in the University
Governing Regulations).
- Evaluates the procedure
for faculty review of candidates for appointment, promotion
and tenure, and makes recommendations for changes to the
Dean.
- Reviews applicants for
appointment, promotion, and granting of tenure of faculty
and makes recommendations to the Dean relative to
qualifications of candidates.
Membership
- Five tenured faculty
members (elected by total faculty).
- Chairperson to be
designated from the elected members by the Dean with
recommendation from the Dean's Council.
Terms of Office
Elected for two-year staggered terms.
