Masters Program Committee
Functions
- Evaluates course
offerings relative to program objectives.
- Develops and recommends
curricular changes to the faculty.
- Implements the evaluation
responsibilities listed in the College of Nursing Evaluation
Plan that pertain to the Masters Program Committee.
- Makes recommendations to
faculty based on program evaluation.
- Evaluates the usefulness
of the College of Nursing Evaluation Plan in relation to the
Masters Program Committee and recommends revisions in the
plan as needed.
- Recommends entrance
requirements to the faculty.
- Reviews suggestions for
curricular changes proposed by any faculty member or
student.
- Makes recommendations for
vote to the graduate faculty and reports to the total
faculty.
Membership
- Four elected faculty
members.
- At least one
representative shall have full membership in the
Graduate School.
- At least two
representatives shall have full or associate membership
in the Graduate School.
- One member may be
elected from faculty teaching in the Undergraduate or
Graduate Program.
- One student from the
Master's Program.
- Assistant Dean for
Advanced Practice Nursing, ex officio.
Terms of Office
- All faculty members
elected to the Masters Program Committee shall serve for
staggered two-year terms.
- The master's student
shall be elected each year to serve for one year.
