Darlene Welsh received her Master of Science in Nursing in Adult
Critical Care Education and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology
from the University of Kentucky. Her dissertation, “Occupational
Stress, Self-Efficacy and Symptom Experiences Among
Medical-Surgical Hospital Nurses,” was supported by the Arvle &
Ellen Turner Thacker Endowment Fund and Sigma Theta Tau
International. Welsh teaches critical care nursing and
coordinates a senior practicum in the College of Nursing
undergraduate program. Her research interests include
occupational stress among hospital nurses; nursing care and
intervention for heart failure patients; and patient and student
education. |
