R.N.-M.S.N. Degree
Requirements
- Completion of the University Studies Program
- Minimum of 40 credit hours of graduate nursing course work,
depending on specialty track
- 21 credit hours in graduate core courses
- 13-17 credit hours in specialty track concentration courses
- 500 or more clinical clock hours, depending on specialty track
- Completion of evidence-based practice project in capstone course
- Successful completion of a comprehensive final exam (Graduate
School "Plan B" option)
- Students may not progress to another course, nor graduate, with
a grade of "C" or lower in a course with a clinical
component
- A minimum of grade of "C" in all other courses with a NUR prefix
- Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.0
- Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.0 in all
undergraduate
nursing courses as required by the College of Nursing
- Minimum cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 as required by the
Graduate School
- Minimum cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 in all graduate
nursing courses as required by the College of Nursing (effective for students admitted Spring 2004 and after)
- Time limit on a graduate degree is eight years.
