Deadline change for applications to R.N.-B.S.N.
Option

March 1 is now the deadline for all application materials to our undergraduate programs.

Application Procedure for R.N.-B.S.N. Students

To meet the March 1 deadline for fall admission, the following materials must be on file with the College of Nursing (mail to UK College of Nursing, 315 CON Bldg., Lexington, KY 40536-0232):

References
You must submit two references. They must come from a faculty member and/or an employer or professional colleague. It can be one from each, or two from the same category. Both individuals must have known you for at least six months. References from family members are not acceptable and will not be read. References must complete the Reference Form for Undergraduate Program Applicants.

Goal Statement
In one to three pages (typed, double-spaced) discuss your reasons for seeking a B.S.N. at this point in your career, outlining short-term and long-term goals. Discuss one or more professional issues in your area of interest. Describe a clinical nursing problem that could be studied and explain the significance of the problem for nursing practice.

Admission
Final decisions will be made after spring semester grades are available, in mid-May. If you are a UK student, you do not need to submit spring grades. If you are enrolled at another institution, you will need to submit spring grades. We will accept a grade report or other unofficial reporting of your grades until a transcript is available.
