Application
Procedure for Traditional
B.S.N. Students (no prior degree in any
area)
March 1 is the deadline
for receipt of all
application materials to the four-year B.S.N. Program. This
affects all sophomores applying for fall or spring admission to
the professional nursing curriculum.
This updated
information may be different from what you have read on
other forms. Disregard any other instructions that you may read
– or hear from another student.
Admission
to the College of Nursing is a two-step process:
- A student is admitted
as a pre-nursing major. This is a general admission to the
University and to the College of Nursing. Admission to
pre-nursing does not guarantee admission to the Professional
Nursing Curriculum.
- A separate application process is required to enroll in Professional
Nursing. All application materials must be received
by the College of Nursing Office of Student Services by
March 1 of the calendar year in which prerequisites will be
completed. Students are admitted for fall or spring
semesters. Admission is competitive.
Once the College of Nursing receives an application, a
student’s academic records are reviewed to determine
eligibility for admission to the Professional Nursing
Curriculum.
