Prerequisites for Second Degree B.S.N. Option

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Cumulative 2.50 GPA on a 4.0 scale for all college work
  • 3-credit hour course in human anatomy; final grade of "C" or higher
  • 3-credit hour course in human physiology; final grade of "C" or higher
  • Two semesters of general chemistry; final grade of "C" or higher
  • One semester of general psychology; final grade of "C" or higher
  • Two personal references (using form here)
  • Written statement (See the application procedure for instructions.)
  • Written exercise; criteria determined by the College of Nursing
  • Satisfactory completion of a certified nurse aide course
It is strongly recommended that the following two courses are taken before beginning the Second Degree B.S.N. Option. They are required for graduation. 
  • General microbiology; final grade of "C" or higher
  • General statistics; final grade of "C" or higher
