Opportunities for Undergraduate Nursing Students

Nurse Scholars Program
Are you a gifted B.S.N. student who’s looking for a challenge that’s over and above the basic requirements for your degree? The Nurse Scholars Program provides opportunities for in-depth study and professional development, nurtures your development as a future nurse leader, and prepares you for graduate study in nursing.

Nurse Ambassador Program
If you’re enthusiastic and positive about nursing and would like to talk to prospective students, check out the Nurse Ambassador Program.

Research Intern Program
Some of the basic tools and experiences needed to understand and apply evidence-based practice, or to become a successful nurse researcher, may be developed early in a nursing student’s career. At UK, you can be a part of the Research Intern Program, where you will begin building these skills while you are an undergraduate.

Specialty Interest Groups
College of Nursing faculty members want to help you develop a sense of professionalism that extends beyond your usual clinical course work. One of the ways we do this is by offering you the opportunity to become involved in one or more specialty interest groups.

UNAAC (Undergraduate Nursing Activities and Advisory Council)
Would you like to become involved in a College of Nursing organization that is involved with student government and with activities planning? UNAAC, made up of five elected members from each class, advises the deans and the College on issues that affect students.
