Undergraduate Research Interns work with a faculty mentor to
get hands-on
experience in all aspects of nursing research. Beginning in the sophomore or junior year, they can register
for up to six semesters of independent study (NUR 882). By the
end of their senior year, most of these interns have at
least one paper, poster, or manuscript on their resume. Many
of them go on to our M.S.N. and Ph.D. programs or continue
their graduate studies elsewhere. |

the 2007 Southern Nursing Research Society Conference in
Galveston, where they presented posters showing the work
they did as research interns. |
