Prospective PhD students: Your advisor serves as chair of
your advisory committee and in collaboration with the
members, the committee has primary responsibility for
guiding you through the PhD Program. There should be a
match between the advisor and you with respect to
phenomenon of interest, patient population, or research
methodology. Faculty with full Graduate Faculty status
can serve as committee chairs and as members of advisory
committees. Faculty with associate Graduate Faculty
status can serve co-chairs and members of advisory
committees.
