judicious use of current best evidence in making
decisions about the care of individual patients.
Objectives:
1. Identify
sources of evidence to enhance nursing practice
2. List resources and strategies to promote
evidence-based practice
3. Identify factors contributing to current
epidemics of obesity and drug-resistant infections
4. Select evidence-based interventions for the
management of obesity and infections
5. Describe the process of moving from clinical
problems to evidence-based solutions
