Description: Using
music, discussion, poetry, and experiential learning, this
two-day workshop on integrative medicine will offer participants
the opportunity to consider "good health" not as a
one-dimensional outcome of the right medications or treatments,
but rather an ongoing appreciation of the many ways to wellness.
Experienced clinicians will share evidence-based information on
complementary approaches to common conditions and health
maintenance and will provide participants with practical
information to share with their patients and clients. This
workshop offers health professionals the chance to enjoy the
natural beauty of autumn in Eastern Kentucky and to meet and
network with others with common interests, as well as to learn
about innovative ways to improve the health of individuals and
communities they serve.

Explain ways to deal with addiction

Describe use of alternatives to Oxycontin
Target audience:
Physicians,
nurses, dieticians, and social workers, administrators and other
support staff.
CE credit is offered for nurses, dieticians, and social workers.

Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).
The Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) approves

well. KBN and ANCC approval of an individual continuing nursing
education provider does not constitute endorsement of program
content for commercial support. This educational activity will
provide a maximum of 8.0 KBN (50 minute) contact hours and 6.7
ANCC (60 minute) contact hours for nurses who attend the entire
