The College of Nursing Alumni Association has been
a really busy group over the past year. We began our year with
the White Coat Ceremony in February 2007. The undergraduate
students receive their coats prior to beginning their synthesis
course, the final course before graduation. This is such a
meaningful and rewarding event. Students appreciate the coats
and I believe that it ushers them into their chosen profession
with pride. Alumni members who attend this event always comment
on how much it means to them. The alumni
extends a special “thank you” to Terry Green for her service to
the College and to the alumni. Terry has been a terrific liaison
and we appreciate all of her efforts. She will be greatly
missed! In transition, we welcome Laurel Martin as our new
alumni and development officer.
In closing, if you are not currently a member
of the alumni association my hope is that you will join and
become involved. We look forward to your input and ideas as we
continue our journey together.
