The Kentucky
League for Nursing presented the 2009 KLN Award for Excellence
in Nursing Education to Assistant Professor
Darlene Welsh. The KLN is a
constituent league of the National League for Nursing. The award
was presented at the Kentucky League for Nursing 2009 Nurse
Educator Conference and Annual Meeting in May.
Two faculty members have received awards from the Kentucky Nurses Association.
Patricia B. Howard,
associate professor and associate dean for the M.S.N. and D.N.P.
programs, received the Nurse Research Utilization Award. The
Nurse Researcher of the Year Award was presented to
Debra K.
Moser, professor and Linda C. Gill Chair of Nursing.
The College of Nursing is growing its faculty to
address the demand for baccalaureate prepared nurses, to support
our graduate programs, and to grow our research
portfolio.
