Since its inception, the University of Kentucky has produced leaders in their fields. Among the many honors achieved by UK's 170,000 alumni, there are two winners of the Nobel Prize and five Pulitzer Prize winners. Alumni are truly the pride of the University of Kentucky. They are our source of strength and one of the University's greatest resources. Their achievements illustrate not only the quality of student that the University attracts, but also the quality of graduate it produces. Worldwide, alumni are living testaments to UK's mission, its dedicated faculty and staff and the power of an outstanding education.
