Q. "Do you take my insurance?"
A. University Physicians contract with most major insurance companies. Please contact your employee benefits office or consult your insurance benefits manual for verification of coverage.
Q. "What about co-pays?"
A. Co-pays are expected at the time of service. Payment may be made by check, credit card or cash. For your convenience there are two ATM's located in the building - one in the deli on the third floor and the other in the first floor lobby at the main entrance
Q. "Where do I park?"
A. There is a covered parking garage connected to Kentucky Clinic. Enter the garage on Kentucky Clinic Drive at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Limestone or Washington Street from Rose Street. Parking costs $.75 per hour up to a maximum of $6.00.
Q. "How early should I arrive?"
A. If you are a new patient, plan to arrive 30 minutes early. Registration for new patients is done at the first- or third-floor information desks. Return patients should arrive 15 minutes early and go directly to their individual department.
Q. "What should I bring?"
A. Please bring the following:
current insurance card and any required insurance forms
lab, X-ray or test results
medications you are currently taking
referral from primary care physician
names and addresses of all of your physicians
Q. "Is there a place to eat?"
A. There is a deli located on the third floor of the clinic near the walkway to the hospital. Starbuck's is located on the first floor in the atrium of Wing C. Vending machines are located in the basement of Wing D. Additionally, there is a cafeteria and a coffee shop located on the first floor of the hospital (across Rose Street).
