Education: Melissa received a Bachelors degree from the University of Kentucky in 2004 and a Master of Speech Pathology degree from the University of South Carolina in 2006.
Clinical Focus: Melissa’s primary responsibility is to evaluate and treat speech and language disorders in the pediatric population and to supervise graduate students in the outpatient clinical setting.
Educational Focus: Melissa serves as a Clinical Instructor for first year graduate students, teaching and supervising the planning and implementation of treatment of clients with a wide range of disorders. She also supervises second year graduate students during clinical rotations in the outpatient clinic.
Scholarly Interest: Auditory Processing Disorders, pediatric articulation and phonological disorders, pediatric language disorders,
and pediatric modified barium swallow studies.
