Assistant to Charlotte Peterson, Ph. D., Associate Dean for Research

In her role as Grant Support Specialist, Cynthia provides direct assistance to Dr. Charlotte Peterson, CHS Associate Dean for Research, is responsible for submission of all extramural grant applications, and helps coordinate special research projects for the college. Her appreciation for the health sciences is a result of athletic and personal experience.
Cynthia is originally from the great state of Virginia
(Fairfax). Once a member of the Puerto Rico National Gymnastics Team, she
carved a path to The Ohio State University as a member of their gymnastics
program and to pursue a degree in business administration (marketing) &
minor in exercise science. She then made her way to Florida for a new career
endeavor, and in 2009, she relocated to Kentucky. She is married to a
Lexington native and former Wildcat and enjoys travelling and spending time
with her family. She is an exercise enthusiast with a deep appreciation for
the arts, creativity, and all things enterprising. Professionally, she
enjoys collaborating with other colleges and centers on campus, interacting
with UK Healthcare, as well as, working with project investigators, which
always keeping things interesting.
