Principal Interests:

  • Upper Extremity Musculoskeletal Injuries
  • Clinical Interventions of Rehabilitation Protocols for upper and lower extremity
  • Diagnostic Accuracy of Clinical Test used in Musculoskeletal assessment of orthopaedic injuries
  • Musculoskeletal Evaluation and intervention of the upper and lower extremity
  • Kinesiological Electromyographical Analysis and Applications

 

Tim is particularly interested in the area of shoulder evaluation and rehabilitation and has several research projects ongoing in this area. He has secured funding for his research in the area of scapula kinematics and shoulder rehabilitation from private industry and private non-profit organizations.

Tim is active member of the Sport Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association; he also is a past-president of the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists. He has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association for 20 years and is currently a member of the NATA-REF, Research Committee and chairman of subcommittee of free communication which oversees all abstracts submitted to the National Athletic Trainers’ annual conference. In 2004 he became an affiliate member of the society of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
