Thankful Patient Letter Regarding PT Student Matt McEwenThe following letter was faxed to the College earlier this month. Dear: To whom it may concern It is an honor to write this letter of recommendation for Matt McEwen. I was a patient of Matt's from April 13th through April 17th at Owensboro Medical Health System (OMHS), Rehabilitation Center. I have been in health care for more than 30 years as a RN. During the past 24 years I have worked in various administration positions at OMHS including developing a Transitional Care Center. I have also had my certification in Rehabilitation Nursing since 1984. Matt is an intelligent, motivated, professional and caring individual. On my first day of therapy he presented himself very knowledgeable of the therapies he was assisting me with, as well as his professional attire, communication skills, and especially his caring attitude that he showed me and all the other patients in the therapy gym. He was able to meet each individual patients at their level of understanding and encourage them to strive to do their very best in therapies each day. During my last few years I have encountered several physical therapists while dealing with back surgery, scoliosis, and finally a total right hip. Several of these therapists have had many years of experience as a physical therapist but Matt's knowledge, professionalism, as well as his caring attitude ranked very high although he was still a student. It is without any reservation that I would recommend Matt McEwen to work as a physical therapist in whatever hospital he chooses. It would sure be nice to have him join our team at Owensboro Medical Health System... The health care profession is fortunate to have such a professional, knowledgeable young man becoming a part of our health care team in the Commonwealth of Kentucky... Sincerely, Donna Quattrocchi, RN, MSN, CRRN Calendar of Events
