Ambassador Q&A

If you have students interested in being a CHS Student Ambassador for 2009-2010, please have them attend the Ambassador Q&A session on Wednesday, April 1 at 4 p.m. in CTW 127 (The Commons).

The goal is to have every discipline represented in this student organization, so please encourage your students to attend! We've had a great group this year...help us make next year even better! Applications can be found here.

 

Community Voice Lecture Planned

The Clinical Voice Center will be conducting a free community lecture on Voice Health Through the Ages at WT Young Library on April 4. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Registration is required. View the event flyer (PDF).

Student represents college at state capital

Katie Yancosek, a doctoral student in the Rehabilitation Sciences Ph.D. program, was selected to participate in the research day in Frankfort. Katie is an Occupational Therapist and is a Major in the U.S. Army. She is the recipient of a prestigious Army Doctoral Fellowship.

The nomination form must be filled out completely. You must also submit a platform statement of no more than 100 words, describing your function within the university and/or goals if elected. Nominations will be verified for service dates.

Timelines:
Deadline to nominate/self-nominate is April 8th at 4pm.
Nominations will be verified: April 9th-21st
Election Date:  May 20th (Staff Appreciation Day is its KICKOFF!!) thru June 3rd
Final Results:  June 8th

Open Seats/Precinct:
Our precinct is 7A.  We have 2 open seats for our precinct. 

Requirements /Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Staff Senate you must be a regular, full time staff member with at least one year of continuous service by April 1, 2009. 

 

Reconnect

The college is hosting an alumni reception in Louisville on March 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. and a reception in Lexington on April 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. All staff and faculty are invited to attend. Please see the CHS homepage for information on each event. Please RSVP if you plan to attend!!!
