In its fourth conference dedicated to current concepts in concussion assessment and management, University of Kentucky Health Care and the Norton Neuroscience Institute are bringing together medical experts, brain research scientists, and clinicians to discuss important issues in the care of the concussed athlete. ·       Dr. Tim Butterfield has received the New Investigator Award from the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). He will be recognized during the NATA Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposia in Las Vegas, NV in June.

UK Undergraduate researchers and staff recently attended the National Conference on Undergraduate Research at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Many students presented posters at the conference, among which was Aman Shah, an undergraduate researcher working in Dr. Esther Dupont-Versteegden's lab. Click here for the full article on UK NOW.

Friday, May 24 from 12-1p in Wethington 411 – Dr. Art Nitz (Physical Therapy) will present with Babak Bazgari, PhD (UK Center for Biomedical Engineering) on their research collaboration.

A standing meeting time for the Grantsmanship Presentations is being considered for every 3rd Thursday beginning Fall semester (12-1p). If there are any issues with this time for CHS faculty, please let Cynthia Byars know. Stay tuned for more on a definite recurring meeting time.
