Back to TopNow Accepting 2012-13 Ambassador ApplicationsThe Office of Student Affairs is now accepting online
applications for students interested in joining the College of Health
Sciences Ambassadors. This is a select group of
students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics and
student leadership. The College of Health Sciences Ambassadors serve the
college and assist with student recruitment, speak to community and
university groups, plan social, philanthropic and educational activities for
peers, and represent the college at receptions and meetings. To be eligible, students must be
formally accepted into their respective program and have a minimum 3.0
cumulative GPA. Other requirements are noted within the online
application. To apply, students must visit the
following link and complete the application.

Centers at wayne.centers@uky.edu. Please join us in welcoming Suzanne Fiscella, PA-C, MS, MA to the PAS faculty. Suzanne serves in the roles of Lecturer and Associate Clinical Coordinator for PAS. Suzanne coordinates the curriculum and clerkship experiences during the clinical year of the Physician Assistant program and is the course director for the Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and Psychiatric Clerkships. She also lectures during the didactic year primarily in Geriatric management and Health Care Literacy and has strong interests in physician assistant leadership roles within the state and national levels. She serves on the American Academy of Physician Assistant Quality Care Work Group. She speaks publicly on patient education and the new health care reform and contributes to multiple community organizations involved in improving health care. Welcome, Suzanne! unless a fully executed e-IAF has been received by OSPA at least three (3)

The College of Health Sciences is implementing
and requesting those submitting a proposal to have the eIAF completed an
additional one week in advance before it is due to OSPA. This will
allow time for anyone affiliated with the proposal to review and certify the
eIAF. Please contact Nan Rice if you have

method created by Eric Mazur to help make lectures more interactive and to
get students intellectually engaged. This method of teaching also gives
instructors significant feedback about where the class is and what it knows. Bring your lunch and learn how CHS faculty are using

Scholarship was established to provide financial support to non-traditional
students. A scholarship covering tuition at the resident rate will be
awarded during the 2012-2013 academic year. All applicants who meet
the eligibility requirements, as listed on the application, will be
forwarded to the Scholarship Committee, which will select the recipient
according to the following criteria:
· Applicants must be in a degree program at the University of Kentucky as either a
full-time or part-time undergraduate student.
Preference will be given to female candidates. For additional information concerning the UK Woman’s
Club Scholarship and a link to the application, please visit
