Margo is a full-time Laboratory Technician Senior in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and was nominated by Amy Ferry for always being willing to help out in the labs wherever, and whenever, she is needed. Back to TopTornado DrillWith March 2012 being designated as Severe Storms Awareness Month, Kentucky Emergency Management has scheduled the 2012 Statewide Tornado Safety Drill for Tuesday, March 6, at approximately 10:07 a.m. EST. To trigger the drill on campus, the UK Division of Crisis Management and Preparedness will utilize the campus’s emergency notification system, UK Alert, to issue a university-wide TEST MESSAGE. Prior to the drill, please take a moment to review the tornado/severe weather procedures at: http://www.uky.edu/EM/tornado-severe-thunderstorm.html. Upon receipt of the tornado drill message on March 6, please conduct the drill and review your building’s emergency action plan. In the event of pending or inclement weather, the drill will be rescheduled. Back to TopRenew Your Parking PermitUniversity of Kentucky Parking & Transportation Services is now accepting employee and retiree parking permit renewal applications for permits that expire March 31, 2012. UK employees are encouraged to renew their permits at www.uky.edu/pts. Employees may also apply for permit renewal via campus mail, by using printable forms found at www.uky.edu/pts or in person at Parking and Transportation Services, 721 Press Avenue (Parking Structure #6). Office hours for permit sales are 7:30 a.m. -6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
