Undergraduate Internship Opportunity
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is offering a ten week research experience for undergraduates. The internship, HS-STEM Summer Internship Program for Undergraduates, offers a $5,000 stipend plus travel expenses. This internship is for students interested in the following areas or research: engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological/life sciences, environmental science, emergency and incident management and social sciences. Deadline for application is January 5, 2012.

Ambassadors Support The Circle of Love Program
The CHS Ambassadors are participating in a community service initiative
called The Circle of Love. This program is sponsored by UK’s Center for
Community Outreach and provides gifts for local low-income families who can
use extra support during the holiday season. Our Ambassadors invite all
students, staff and faculty to participate! To be part of the initiative pick up a card
from one of the Ambassadors that lists gift needs for either one child or a total family.

Digital Measures Data Entry
The original deadline for all data to be entered into
Digital Measures was November 30th. Please remember that all
productivity information for 2011 should be entered, including any updates
to data that is currently in the system as “in-progress” (e.g., student
theses/dissertations, publications, grants, professional service, etc.).
If you still need assistance with entering data into
Digital Measures or trouble shooting errors in the performance review
report, please contact Rena Murphy at rena.murphy@uky.edu or 218-0562. We would like to have all data entered
and all issues resolved prior to the fall term break.
