Support the PT Race for the Cure TeamUK Physical Therapy students Nicole Acosta and Lori Beth Lile have created a team for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Lexington. The team will represent UK PT and is formed in honor of Lynn English, whose son, Adam, is the Chair for the Lexington event. The UK PT Race for the Cure team is asking for the support of the CHS family. Their goal is to raise $2,500. They also welcome new team members, who can register at the link below. From Nicole: "Proceeds from our community allow people without insurance to obtain a mammogram and also supports research to find a cure for breast cancer. I know most of us know someone who has been through the ordeals of breast cancer and together we can help raise money so we can find a cure soon!" To make a donation go to the
UK PT's Team Page. If you have questions please contact Nicole at
nacosta87@gmail.com. Digital Measures Training Dates ScheduledThe College of Health Sciences will be offering Digital Measures software training sessions for all faculty members who did not complete the training in spring 2011. Digital Measures is a faculty productivity software – this software has replaced the former UK Faculty Productivity Database and is used to generate the Faculty Performance Review Reports (FPRRs) used in the performance review process for faculty. It is important for all faculty members to know how to use the system since all future performance review reports will be generated using this software. We have scheduled two training sessions in early October for any faculty member who still needs to learn how to use the system. Faculty members who would like a “refresher” are also welcome to attend. The training dates are:
If you plan to attend one of the trainings, please email Rena Murphy at rena.murphy@uky.edu with the training date and time you would like to attend. If you are unable to attend either training due to scheduling conflicts, please contact Rena as well to identify an alternative training method. Most divisions have support staff who have been trained to use the system and can assist with any questions. Resource materials and step-by-step instructions for entering various types of information will also be added to the Academic Affairs webpage in the next few weeks. Back to Top2011 Faculty Performance ReviewsMark your calendars! Below are the initial dates for the Faculty Performance Review Process for 2011. Instructions, resource documents and the timeline for the entire process will be loaded to the Academic Affairs webpage in the next few weeks. Watch Friday Footnotes for further announcements.
