Jason Groshong Receives Fellowship from American Heart Association

Congratulations to Jason Groshong for receiving a one year predoctoral fellowship award for his project entitled "Studies on insulin resistance in human skeletal muscle," beginning July 1, 2011.

Jason is a doctoral student under the mentorship of Dr. Charlotte Peterson and recently won an award for Outstanding Research Presentation at the Barnstable Brown Obesity & Diabetes Research Day held in May.

New Bio-Statistical Support Information

The Applied Statistics Lab (ASL) is now available to enhance statistical support for both faculty and students. The ASL will provide researchers with a centralized location to seek advice for planning studies and implementing analysis. One of the advantages of centralized support is that requests requiring less statistical sophistication may be handled by a junior RA and more complicated requests may be triaged to a faculty member with specific expertise.
