(April 11, 2008) - Dr. Carl Mattacola, Director of Athletic Training and Rehab Ph.D. programs, and Dr. Tim Uhl, recently achieved Fellows status with the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Foundation. The Fellows program was created to honor NATA's scholars and researchers for their leadership and service to the athletic training profession. (Nov. 16, 2007) - Dr. Lori Gonzalez, Dean of CHS, became an (Nov. 14, 2007) − The Kentucky Physical Therapy Association (KPTA) has awarded Janice Kuperstein, associate professor in the University of Kentucky's College of Health Science's Division of Physical Therapy, the 2007 Outstanding Physical Therapist award.
(October 4, 2007) - A graduate of CHS's Physical Therapy program has been recognized by the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT). Beth Coon, PT, CHT presented an abstract at the Society's 30th annual meeting that evaluated violinists that suffer from chronic pain. Read more... Debra Nickell, MBA and Samuel Powdrill, MPhil of the Division of Physicians Assistant Studies was awarded a $328,977 grant by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for their 3-year project entitled Physician Assistant Student Training: Targeted Care for at-risk populations in Kentucky.
