Anne D. Olson, Ph.D., CCC/A

Communication Sciences and Disorders
Anne Olson received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1981 and her master’s degree in audiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985. She joined the faculty in the Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Kentucky in 2004 after working as a clinical audiologist. In addition, she received her PhD in August 2010 from the University of Kentucky in Rehabilitation Sciences. She is also a licensed audiologist through the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. She presently serves on the Kentucky Board for Licensing of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.

Dr. Olson is an instructor for Introduction to Audiology (CD 420) and Aural Rehabilitation (CD 591). She team teaches in Management of Communication Disorders (CD 483) and in Speech and Hearing Science (CD 402).
Dr. Olson was a clinical audiologist for 19 years before joining the faculty at UK in 2004. She has been employed in a variety of settings including; private otolaryngology practices, a non-profit hearing and speech center and the public schools as an educational audiologist.
