Doctoral Research Assistantship Positions AvailableThe Division of Physical Therapy in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Health Sciences is seeking highly motivated students interested in pursuing a PhD and providing research assistance to two PT faculty members. Applicants should have a personal interest in clinical or basic science research, biomechanics, and/or lower extremity injuries. Two doctoral research assistantship positions are available. One RA will be working directly with Brian Noehren, PT, PhD pursuing a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanics and treatment of knee and hip injuries. Specifically, we have several developing projects on running mechanics, osteoarthritis, ACL injuries and patellofemoral pain syndrome. The second RA position will be an individual who will work directly with Scott Livingston, PhD, PT, ATC, SCS whose research focuses on understanding the pathophysiology of sport-related concussion, specifically focusing on electrophysiological assessment, balance and postural stability testing, and vestibular dysfunction following concussion.
