Scholarly Interest/Research
Primary focus is in the prevention and
treatment of obesity, especially in children, with current work in the
University of Kentucky Pediatric Healthy Weight Clinic and design of the
Learn 2 Eat Best™ series of nutrition education software programs for
use in school, health professional and/or home settings; role of the
built environment and worksite in the prevention and/or treatment of
overweight and/or obesity; design of consumer-oriented materials
regarding the role of healthy eating in weight maintenance and
successful aging across the lifespan; design and delivery of
applied/clinical nutrition education for medical health professionals.
