Scott M. Lephart, Ph.D. Named Dean

SMLWe are excited to announce that Scott M. Lephart, Ph.D., will join the UK College of Health Sciences as its fourth Dean in March 2015. He is currently at the University of Pittsburgh, where he serves as Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, as well as the Director of the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory and Warrior Human Performance Research Center. He also serves as Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, School of Medicine. Dr. Lephart has been with the University of Pittsburgh for 27 years. He brings his experience and success in building and developing academic programs and a research enterprise to the College of Health Sciences. Read more.

Learn About Our Newest Degree - Human Health Sciences

Want to prepare for a future in health care? We have a program for that! Our newest baccalaureate degree program, Human Health Sciences (HHS), is now entering its second year. HHS serves as a pre-professional undergraduate degree for students who aspire to careers in health care, such as dentistry, pharmacy, physician assistant studies and physical therapy.
