Master of Science Degree Requirements
Plan A - Thesis
- Completion of 24 credit hours, 13 of which are from a core curriculum (see graduate course requirements below).
- Satisfactory completion of a thesis research project under the direction of an advisory committee.
- Successful defense of the thesis.
- Submission of written or electronic thesis.
Plan B – Non-thesis
- Completion of 30 credit hours, 13 of which will be from the same core curriculum currently in place for Plan A requirement (see graduate course requirements below)
- Satisfactory completion of a research project under the direction of an Advisory Committee.
- Presentation of the findings of the research project in a seminar/lecture format followed by successful completion of an oral examination on the research area.
- Submission of a manuscript on the results of the research project to a peer reviewed journal.
