FULL-TIME STAFF
Patient Coordinator: Connie Thaxton is our patient coordinator. She schedules all appointments in the graduate clinic, answers incoming calls and generally takes care of administrative matters related to patient care and scheduling. She can be reached at (859) 323-6193.
Staff Hygienist: Cheryl Huffman is our staff hygienist. She works closely with the graduate students in order to provide the best possible maintenance care for our patients. She can be reached at (859)323-5557
Administrative Assistant: Terri McGlasson is the secretary/administrative assistant for the Division of Periodontics. She handles all of the nonclinical administrative matters relating to the grad program. She can be reached at (859) 323-5391 or tmcglas@email.uky.edu
Business Manager: She oversees the business and administrative functions of the Periodontology Graduate clinic.
Financial Counselor: Kathleen Hertz is our financial counselor. She is located in room D402C, next to the receptionist. She answers billing and insurance questions, collects payments, verifies insurance benefits and submits prior authorization requests. She can be reached at (859)323-6547 or Kathleen.hertz@uky.edu
Dental/Surgical Assistants: Sherry Hacker and Prakash Shrestha are our talented dental assistants. They provide high-quality chairside assisting during many procedures, including data collection, nonsurgical debridement, surgical / regenerative procedures and implantology. In addition, they maintain the inventory, process instruments and expose/process radiographs.
