Mini Residency Program
The University of Kentucky Orofacial Pain Center offers a Mini-Residency Program to interested health professionals who wish to join the faculty and residents for a one week experience in the Orofacial Pain Center. Each participant takes part in all the Center's daily activities for the entire week. These activities include all literature review sessions, topic seminars, case reports and patient conferences. Participants can also observe in all patient evaluations and treatments.
In addition to these activities each participant has access to twenty five educational DVD lectures on a variety of TMD and orofacial pain subjects. Each DVD lecture is approximately one hour in length and the participant can review these at various times throughout the week.
The following is a schedule of the Orofacial Pain Center activities during a typical week. Each participant can expect to participate in all of these activities, however on occasion some activities may change depending on the specific week.

Additional Information
The Medical Center Library is located on the first floor of the Medical Center and easily available if the participant wishes to review any dental or medical publications. The Library hours are from 8:00 am to Midnight each day. You are welcome to review any publication you wish in the Library.
The Orofacial Pain Center has Internet access if the participant wishes to explorer the Net. PubMed and Medline are available from the Center, which are a simple ways to search through the literature for a specific article or subject matter.
There are also several programs available on the Center's computers that may interest the participant. We have several pharmacology programs that are very useful for gaining information regarding drugs and their various interactions. There is also a program reviewing human anatomy.
Parking is available in the patient parking structures that are attached to the Medical Center and Kentucky Clinic and is included in the tuition.
General Information regarding the Mini-Residency Program
The Mini-Residency Program offers 40 hours of CE credit. The tuition is $995 for the week.
Food and Transportation
Each participant is responsible for his or her own for and transportation to the Center and return to the hotel.
