How and When Do You Get Your Money

FUNDS ARE DISBURSED AS FOLLOWS:

Federal William D. Ford Direct Loans, scholarships awarded by the College of Dentistry or the University, and other school-managed funds (Health Professions Loans, Perkins Loans, and others) will be credited directly to your tuition account by the University of Kentucky Student Account Services.  If the credited amount EXCEEDS the amount owed for tuition, the University will issue you a refund for the difference.  This money will be automatically deposited into an predetermined account you have set for Student Account Services by completing the Automatic Deposit Form on MyUK.  If the amount credited is LESS than the tuition owed, you must pay the balance.

NOTE:  Students should plan to have some funds available to provide for living expenses, book and supply purchases, etc. during the first few weeks in the event that loan checks do not arrive on time.  Because of the many steps in the loan application process and the many agencies that play a part in the actual disbursement of funds, delays (although rare) may and sometimes do occur.
