We encourage you to apply early, preferably in the late summer, or no later than October 1. The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry operates on a rolling admission basis. Admission interviews may begin in September and continue until the class is full. Interviews are required for admission consideration and are scheduled weeks in advance. The first offers of admission are extended on December 1.

SCHEDULING OF INTERVIEWS

Interviews are arranged after your application file is complete. Interviews are arranged at the request of the Admissions Committee. Even though the scheduling of an interview indicates the Committee has a strong interest in you, please keep in mind that more applicants are interviewed than there are positions available in the class. Generally, most interviews are scheduled from September up to the holiday break in December. An interview will not be scheduled until all credentials have been received and your file is complete.

FOR INTERVIEWEES

REAPPLICATION

All applicants, whether first-time or not, must file an application with AADSAS for the year in which admission is desired. Files are usually destroyed after one year.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE

The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry abides by the "Agreement on Admissions Scheduling" as recommended by the American Association of Dental Schools. Thus, provisional or final acceptances will not be offered prior to December 1 to any applicant for the class to enroll in August. When an offer of admissions has been accepted the applicant is required to make a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 for a Kentucky resident and $ 1,000.00 for an out of state applicant. This deposit will be applied to applicants tuition at the beginning of the fall term.
