Student Dental Clinic
The Patient Care Program at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry seeks to provide comprehensive care in an atmosphere that simulates the practice environment. Patients are assigned to one of our four Team Leaders who delegate responsibility for patient care to individual student dentists.
To Become a Patient
All patients treated in our Student Dental Clinic must have a preadmission examination and necessary radiographs to determine their dental needs and make appropriate assignment to a student dentist for treatment. Prospective patients can expect to be here for approximately two hours for this examination. If a patient's treatment is determined to be too complicated for the student clinic, referral will be made to one of our graduate clinics. Fees assessed for dental treatment will be discussed at this time. After assignment to a student dentist, most appointments will be 3 hours in length.
