Application fee: UK Graduate School fees $65 for domestic/$75 for international students)
Masters program applicants accepted/year: 1-2
Certificate program applicants accepted/year: 1-2
Fellowship program applicants accepted/year: 2-3
Admission to the Orofacial Pain Master of Science Degree Program is based on the following criteria:
- Official dental school transcript
- Letters of recommendation
- Essay included in the application form
- Interview process
- National Board Dental Examination scores (when available)
- TOEFL score for those candidates who originate from a country where English is not their primary language
- Findings of the admissions committee
The Admissions Committee is composed of the Orofacial Pain Faculty members who will meet to discuss all candidates and select the most qualified candidate(s) by consensus.
Applications
There are two applications required for the Orofacial Pain Master of Science program: The UKCD Orofacial Pain application and the UK Graduate School application. Both applications may be submitted online and are available below. The Certificate and Fellowship programs require only the application for the UKCD Orofacial Pain program.
UKCD Orofacial Pain Application
This application should include official dental school transcripts and two letters of recommendation.
In order for the application to be considered the Graduate School must have received the application fee ($65 for domestic and $75 for international students). The applicant should not send official transcripts to the Graduate School at this point. Only when admitted to the Orofacial Pain Program should the applicant provide the Graduate School with official transcripts and proof of passing either the National Dental Boards (NBDE part 1 or 2) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
